Three lessons I’ve learned (or learned again) from driving this fun little car:
- Accelerate through the turn. When you’re making changes, that’s when you need to get power to the wheels. Although it may seem frightening, it actually keeps you grounded to use your power most when the changes are underway.
- It’s the journey; not the destination. Automobiles can be seen as pure utility, simply a way to get from Point A to Point B. Although it’s logically defensible, so what? Can’t your genetic code be similarly reduced? Is your life simply a way for the species to be perpetuated? Perhaps, but even such brutal reductionism doesn’t preclude romance en route.
- It shouldn’t matter what others think, but it does. This was hardest for me to accept. Oh well. People make judgements all the time. They can’t help it. It’s what people do. And we help them all the time, whether we want to admit it or not.
