Now is the time to give subscriptions to the nation’s only weekly humor magazine. Now is the time because we all give gifts this time of year, whether we want to or believe in anything or not. Now is the time because prices are lower than at any other time of the year. Now is the time because there are even lower prices when you give lots of them. ¶ Imagine getting ten people off your shopping list with one phone call and spending only a couple of hundred dollars. It’s really that simple. And if you’ve been thinking about picking up a shirt or a sticker or a button, now is the time for that too because all that stuff is half price if you buy a subscription at the same time. ¶ This year we’re trying one thing that’s different. We’ve added an a la carte menu so you can spend exactly what you want on somebody. It’s a buck an issue and you decide how many issues. So for that brother-in-law who always leaves the price tag on a gift “in case you want to return it,” you can match his generosity dollar for dollar.
