RG47.3 against Obama: his race

Will people vote for a black guy? We don’t know. Will they tell the truth when a pollster asks if they’ll vote for a black guy? We really don’t know. But the same is true about whether they’ll vote for — and tell the truth about voting for — a woman. Or a Mormon. Or a trial lawyer. Or a thrice-divorced Catholic. This could be an election where the winner backs into the circle.
