Loading ...Our problem is we always think too small. For the last 20 years, we’ve had a friend in Washington, D.C. toiling on our behalf. Slowly but surely, and then suddenly, our friend became powerful. U.S. Representative Peter Defazio is now chair of the subcommittee that doles out road funding for the entire nation. That’s $10 billion each year, maybe more. We need to connect a few dots and our congressman is in the perfect place to help. He’s only waiting for us to get our act together and decide what exactly we all want.

One of these four ideas will be developed into a column on Wednesday to be published in The Register-Guard on Friday. I’m asking you to help me choose between them.
