Loading ...We all love the Bijou. Some of us have fond memories of the place and wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to it. (Some have less pleasant memories, from its former life as a funeral home, but never mind.) Will a vibrant downtown, complete with a movie theater — maybe even an artsy movie house — hurt the Bijou? I don’t think so. Especially if the fine folks at Regal Cinemas listen to a reasonable business proposition that will save them money while they avoid stomping on a Eugene institution.

One of these four ideas will be developed into a column on Wednesday to be published in The Register-Guard on Friday. I’m asking you to help me choose between them.
